Subject Syllabus

The ‘Subject Syllabus’ setting in the Configuration Panel, allows the Head Office to add, edit, and manage syllabi for specific subjects within a curriculum. It supports a hierarchical structure for topics and sub-topics.

Add/Edit Subject Syllabus: (Tab)

This section allows the Head Office to manage subject syllabi efficiently.

  1. Syllabus Title: Enter the title of the syllabus. This is a required text input field with a maximum character limit of 50.
  2. Select Subject: Choose the relevant subject using the search dropdown. All active values are fetched from the 'Subject Resources' of the organization, presented as 'Subject Title | Course Curriculum Title’.
  3. Select Status: Choose the status of the syllabus from the dropdown.
    1. Active: Indicates the syllabus is currently in use.
    2. In-Active: Indicates the syllabus is not in use.
  4. Master entry details Level 1 Add Topic Title: This section allows the addition and management of topics with a hierarchical structure. It has a plus and cross feature.
    1. Topic Title: Enter the title of the topic. This is a required text input field with a maximum character limit of 200.
    2. Master entry details Level 2 Add Sub Topic Title: This section allows further details for each topic, including sub-topics. It also has a plus and cross feature.
      1. Sub Topic Title: Enter the title of the sub-topic. This is a required text input field with a maximum character limit of 200. This field is hidden until the user clicks the button to add a sub-topic.
  5. Buttons:
    1. Cancel: Discard changes and close the tab.
    2. Save & Close: Save the entered information and close the tab.
    3. Save & New: Save the entered information and keep the tab open for adding another subject syllabus.

Subject Syllabus List: (Tab)

This section provides a comprehensive list of subject syllabi.

  1. Filter:
    1. Select Subject: Use a search dropdown to filter results. The default option is '--- Collective ---.' Values are fetched from the 'Subject Resources' of the organization, presented as 'Subject Title | Course Curriculum Title'.
  2. Table Columns:
    1. Plus button: Enables collapse/expand feature to show the paging table.
      1. Plus button: Displays if and only if a topic has sub-topics, allowing collapse/expand to show a simple table.
        1. Sr#: Serial number for identification, aligned at the center.
        2. Sub Topic Title: The title of the sub topic, aligned to the left.

      3. Topic Title: The title of the topic, aligned to the left.
    2. Sr#: Serial number for identification, aligned at the center.
    3. Syllabus Title: The title of the syllabus, aligned to the left.
    4. Subject Title: The title of the subject, aligned to the left.
    5. Curriculum Course: The title of the curriculum course, aligned to the left.
    6. Status: The current status of the subject syllabus, aligned at the center
    7. Action: Center-aligned with options:
      1. Edit: Click to edit the details of the subject syllabus.
      2. Delete: Delete the subject syllabus. (Note: Enabled only if the syllabus is not associated with Subject 2.0; otherwise, show a proper error message)
